Mister Sparky of Myrtle Beach
August 3, 2020
We’d like to spotlight Tony Zack, owner of Mister Sparky® of Myrtle Beach.
Tony focuses on employee improvement. He brings in outside speakers, encourages mentoring within the technician ranks, and is always looking at the opportunity any situation presents, even if the situation doesn’t look favorable.
In these highly unusual times, Tony has seen some amazing growth and revenue generation with his franchise. Throughout the years, business has continued to grow and the company has been fortunate to be able to hire great people.
“We stay focused on delivering excellent service to our clients and try very hard to not be transactional with customers,” said Tony. “If you find coworkers that care, then I try to find where their strengths are to fit into our team. “
Prior to COVID-19, Tony trained often, taught Dave Ramsey courses, and even hired a John Maxwell affiliate to help the team grow professionally and personally. “All to help our team become better. If our home life is good, then our work life can be great.”
Tony believes it’s important to identify the willingness to grow in that interview process. “Many people just haven’t found the right employer that cares for them the way we as employers expect for them to care about our business. So, we want to be that family for each other.”
And of course, as with any thriving business, positivity is the cornerstone for success.
“I love what I do. Such a key ingredient for our team to have fun. We all have to work so we might as well make the best of it.”
